I Be a wine-lover if you are not a beneficiary

A majority of Hong Kong citizens are benefited from the recent “free candy campaign” from our Financial Secretary John Tsang, except me.

Ooooops, please wait – “ … I propose to exempt the duties on wine, beer and all other alcoholic beverages except spirits with immediate effect, and remove the related administrative controls upon amendment of the relevant legislation, so as to facilitate the import, export and storage of these alcoholic beverages …, I am one of the beneficiaries eventually!

After attending class tonight, I bought this Rosé with a cheap price, it is a 2006 Vin De Pays, a produce from South of France, looks good with romantic pink. It was $85 (Feb 27) and is now $55 (Feb 28). After saving $30, I may buy more candies, but I prefer buying cheese (spicy with pepper) or HK style bbq-spare-ribs.

Since I have had been a partime wine-sales, also a partime PR in a French restaurant, entirely understand the difference between original prices and marked-up prices of table-wine. It is always smart to enjoy wine at home – except you enjoy the atmosphere while hanging out with lovely friends.

Hmmm, in order to feel like a beneficiary after tax-reduction, I have made an important decision today – purchase and drink more wine … cheers:)
